Yes you can, and contrary to belief that you use more electricity doing so, this is not always the case, depending on your location in the world and the general ambient temp you keep the fridge/freezer.

Yes you can as long as its plugged into a socket, then it will work great no matter what the weather it. I have a fridge and freezer on my balcony, it works perfect.

Sure, you could put it in extreme conditions such as the roof in the desert if you wanted, But it will use more power to regulate (control) the temperature inside the appliance. It may also shorten the life of the equipment, from constantly cycling off and on with no time to "cool down".

yes but if it's real hot it will work harder. better to keep it out of the rain or snow. If you lay it down let it set for 24 hrs. to let the oils drain back where they supposed to be
