The power loss exists in 3 outlets and with 2 lights; we have checked the breakers; the outlets and the lights/fans. The breaker is fine, the outlets etc. are getting no juice. The circuit is broken somehwere i just can't find where. My next move will have to be to empty the attic and remove the plywood that has been up their for 9 years (ouch) and rundown wires. I have never called anyone into my home for repairs, I have fixed many a problem. I called in a handy-man and he couldn't find the problem either. He checked the voltage and none of the outlets where getting any juice so he confirmed my fears. The gfci's are good. My house alarm checked out fine. I have had one animal in my attic and that was 2 years ago, we have traps up in the attic now and closed how they got in. Any help is appreciated.

It flushes a little bit. Poops go down, but if it's just pee, then it just swirls a bit and never actually flushes all the way. It use to be the best toilet bowl ever until I flushed the piece of paper towel down. We've use all sorts of septice tank cleaners, plungers and snakes. How can a paper towel still be stuck after 2 yrs?

We had a storm with hurricane force winds and tons of rain. The windows in my living room started leaking from the top. I thought of resealing them on the outside, but is there a way to be sure I don't have any greater structural damage? I'm concerned there might be holes in the roof and/or water damage inside the wall.

In our vacant rental the previous occupants did not dust the ceiling fan blades and there is a huge build up of black dust on the ceiling. The reason the dust is black is because they burned candles all the time. We have tried dusting, vacuuming, using a brush and nothing has touch it yet. Any help will be appreciated.

We have window screens with a hole in them, which the ants are coming through. Any advice on how to repel them, preferably without the use of pesticides, would be appreciated.

I have central air in my new construction condo and while the heating works fine, I recently flipped the fuse switch that powers the air conditioning. However, I can't seem to get any cool air blowing out. I was wondering if it takes a couple of days for it to 'charge up' before I start to notice any difference.

This is a standard push mower with a Briggs and Stratton engine, not self-propelled or anything. It runs, then loses power for like two seconds, then runs for 15 seconds, etc. It doesn't slow down enough to keep it from cutting the grass, but I think it will eventually. Could it be a bad sparkplug? What else could it be?

The belt came off the fan pulley on the HydroStatic transmission. I got the belt back on and now it still drives but under a slight load it slips and goes slow. Is there an adjustment on the belt? There is nothing in the manual about the belt and according to the manual it's not the fluid level because it says it does not need to be changed but if you do it is a big hassle...??

Hello, I am trying to replace an element on a electric water heater, it is the screw in type with one 1 1/2 inch bolt, i have it unbolted and disconnected but it wont pull out of the tank, it seems to catch, i cant turn it, and if I pull the element down i can work it out a liittle farther but not all the way, it seems as if there's an interior bracket or its attached to some sort of weight or something... any experience or info is greatly appreciated.

I bought this stuff called JB KWIK made by JB WELD on the reccommendation of a friend. It comes in two tubes and you mix them together & put it on the area you want to patch up. The crack runs vertical along the entire housing for the pump and extends around to the top. The entire crack is about 16" long. The pressure is supposed to get up to 60 PSI. Is this stuff going to hold for the long haul or just be a quick fix and bust open in a few weeks??

If anyone has used this apoxy for similar usage please let me know the results. If anyone has had a problem like mine and used something else, I'd love to hear about that too.

There is an overhead tree that is beautiful but there is moss (maybe mold) growing on the roof. A power sprayer would be the obvious option, but we are worried about not being able to get the right angle with the washer on this sharp-pitched roof without damaging the shingles. Is there a product that will kill this growth?

How can I make the water go down my drain that over flows with water? I have used every un-clogging product, even virgin lye and nothing works. I have noticed the shower lever continues to get harder to turn. I think it is a mechanical
problem rather than a clog. Someone please HELP!!!

I have 2 little boys and a big boy, and clean my bathroom every day. I've cleaned the bathmat, scrubbed with a toothbrush, used Mr. Clean, dishsoap, even microfibre. I can't pinpoint where exactly on the toilet the smell is coming from, it is driving me crazy.

Other people have boys and their toilets don't stink, and I can't imagine anyone cleans their bathroom more than once a day. What do you use?
