I just bought a house that has been a nightmare for me. This is my first house and I cut serveral corners trying to purchase it including not getting an inspection. Since moving here, I've discovered problems with electrical outlets in the bathrooms, bootleg cable wiring, and after a few shingles blew up on the roof, the insurance agent said the roof will need to be replaced soon. I fear that I will have a hard time selling it because of the color of the exterior the outdated wall paper on the interior. Also I bought it for about $10,000 above the average home in this area. I would rather go back to renting until I can afford a newer home closer to the city. I don't want to put much money into the house and I've decided to stay for at least a year. What's the best way to sell without losing any money? Would it be better to use an agent and try to sell it the old fashioned way, or should I use one of those quick sell companies just to get rid of it and maybe make a few (very few) bucks.

I keep seeing these bugs in my basement. Most I've seen are dead and curled up; they have very little legs and look like centapedes, and when they are alive, they are fast! What are they?? They're about an inch in length and have a width of about a millimeter. They are creepy! What do I do to get rid of them??

I've also seen ladybugs, dead worms, large black mospuitoes, and another kind of bug that is like the one mentioned earlier, but moves like a worm or a slug, expanding and contracting across the floor- it is mch slower. They're the same size and width. What do I do??? This is getting out of control, and I'm getting an increaing aversion to my basement.

Ok so I needed to get some home repairs done on my new house (old house but had it less than 6months) It first started with bats flying into my house through the chimeny so the bat catcher gave me a number to a chimeny repairman because it needed to be tuckpointed. After several no shows and misses on both parts we finally got in together and he bid $550 to fix the chimeny, new cage on top, and fix the hole in my ceiling (ac story). Well the morning that he was suppose to come out and fix my ceiling he called and said he had an emergancy at another home and since I would be at work just leave the deposit in the mail box and he would work on the chimney on the outside while I was gone. He was suppose to leave an invoice in the mailbox. When i got home from work the check was gone, no invoice, and it didn't seem like any work had been done. Suppose to come out the next day but never showed. Haven't been able to get ahold of him and he won't return my phone calls. what do I do?

It is a Tecumseh engine. On top of the flywheel are three holes near the crankshaft but they are not threaded. Do I use a knockoff tool or a tool that pulls it off? Or is there a special tool used only on Tecumseh engines?
Thanks in advance for your answers.

It stays on for like 15 minutes, then the hose pops up and the water starts going everywhere. I tighten the 3 clamps as tight as possible, but it keeps coming off anyway. I don't know what else to try to keep it on. Any suggestions, like glue or tape or something else?

We share a well with 2 other houses, our house had low water pressure for several months, everyone else was fine. Our neighbor started to have high pressure (psi over100). They replaced all indoor plumbing from the pipe that comes from the well to pressure tank, gages, etc. They also installed a pressure regulator that shuts off if pressure goes over 60psi. Now, us and the other neighbor have pressure over 100. We then replaced all the same plumbing as 1st neighbor, without the pressure regulator switch. We still have pressure over 100. What could be the problem?

When certain appliances in my house are switched on (such as the Dryer, Heat Pump, Kettle, etc), the power in my bedroom cuts out entirely. I can rectify it by flicking the switch on the switchboard (fuse box?) back on. My housemates do not have the same problem (even though my bedroom is at the opposite end of the house to the laundry and kitchen). I believe it may be because these appliances (kitchen, laundry, etc) are on the same circuit, for some reason? But what can I do to fix it? Is it an easy job for an electrician?

Thanks in advance for any help on the matter.

Does anyone knows the best way to keep the mold away from bathroom ceiling? Somehow during the winter, mold tends to build up in the bathroom ceiling and ventilation fan is not working good enough. It seems hot steam from the shower and cold air outside creates a condensation in the ceiling and walls, and that seems to be the cause of the mold built up. We spray bleach water all over the ceiling and wall to prevent the mold but would like to know if there is any other solution.
