We have a new bed, which is all wood, ie head and base board and wooden slats, and a thick silentnight matteress. But it creakes alot when moving about in it!

You can start by tightening anything that is adjustable. Get all the pieces that can be assembled secured as tightly as possible.
Second, apply lubricant to any place where the pieces just slip together. WD 40 works if you don't mind the smell, but a good silicone lube will work also.

I have the same problem. Every little move I make in bed it starts to creak. It's not the mattress though in my case, its the actual bed. My bed is made from wood so can get very creaky. Apparently you just need to tighten the screws on it or put oil on it. I'm not entirely sure though as I haven't sorted my bed out yet. It is very annoying I know! I think it is the bed though as mine is quite lose and can sometimes rock back and forth very very slightly.

Are the wood slats just laying on the rails?
If so, screw them tight to the rails. It will tighten everything up.
I had to do that to our new bed about 3 years ago.

Rub candle wax all over the joints and under the slats.

Try a bit of linsed oil , the wood is dry and will squeak, other than that have sex on the floor , then you will not have to worry about the noise.

Play music when you are in bed to cover the squeaking noise !

get some Johnnson and Johnson's paste wax and wax the wood and buff it...probably dry wood...if it is the springs, but a new mattress.
