If a developer comes in and start to plan building projest,oops the residential next door that has been there since1070.they all have septic tanks,Well now the developer comes nocking at the doors.guess what, in order for the developer to build ,the 1970 residental. Guess what they must be connected to the sewer.who do you think should pay for this connection .developers

The sewers are for your benefit. Now when your septic goes out, say if that happens five years after they put the sewers in and pass you up. Your septic is going to cost you ten to fifteen thousand dollars for the drain field and the septic, now, do you think they should let you in the sewer line for a nominal price or, keep you out? your the one that didn't want in. A connection is an advancement in the community and you won't have to worry about your septic like I do every year, I worry sick about mine. They stopped 200 feet from me.

if i were there the developer would pay
he would also pay for any damage done to property in the process and allow for work after settling has occurred
sewer lines can be a mess when installing

you are grandfathered for the septics and they cant do anything about it

Hi In a perfect the stinken developer should pay for the connection,you should not be forced to pay for and connect to city services unless you wanted to. Keep in mind you will have to pay to connect in the future and it will cost more then. Good Luck.
