We love our doggie, but she's not housebroken yet. She peed on a rug, and we didn't notice it right away. Now there's a discoloration in the wood floor. How can we get rid of it, or at least make it less noticeable?

If the stain penetrated into the wood you'll have to sand it out. Since most floor are simply coated with polyurethane you can probably just sand out the stain and then put 3 coats of fast-drying polyurethane on there. You need a brush made specifically for sealers though so double check the brush you buy. You want to put 3 light coats on and sand with the recommended grit in between coats depending on manufacturer recommendations.

First check if it is of the newer synthetic wood or the old regular wood flooring. Do not sand new models. Buy stain remover liquids from Home Depo.
