There is an overhead tree that is beautiful but there is moss (maybe mold) growing on the roof. A power sprayer would be the obvious option, but we are worried about not being able to get the right angle with the washer on this sharp-pitched roof without damaging the shingles. Is there a product that will kill this growth?

Household Bleach, or Chlorine diluted 50-50 sprayed on this will kill it and you will be able to rinse off with the nozzle on a hose. However, this mixture can damage plants or bushes if not rinsed off and watered afterwards. It is best to cover same with plastic first. The zinc-strips would be applied across entire roof at ridge and every 10 course of shingle to the bottom, this works because as the rain washes over it, the chemicals wash down roof and keep killing the moss as it washes over roof on way to ground and doesnt hurt the plants.

Sprinkle cheap laundry detergent on the moss. Water it lightly or wait for a rain. It will kill the moss and not damage plants etc. like bleach will.

I use an answer of fifty% family bleach and 50% water in a hand-held strain sprayer. I additionally upload a couple of a couple of oz of dishwasher detergent (Dawn) to the "combine. Regular old household bleach will kill moss and mold, and is very inexpensive. However, a steep pitch with moss/mold can be very slippery. Please be careful if doing it yourself & are unable to hire the job out.

buy a household cleansing dilute aci... preferably sulphuric....spray it on the moss... and then rinse away after 15-20 min with water... the moss shud die and dry out in a couple of days...

Copper oxide will kill it and keep it away.
