I bought a house in December only to find out that the tub is leaking. I know the previous owner knew about this because the crack was under the bath mat and you can see that they tried to patch it. What is the average cost to replace something like this including labor?

the bath tub is a plastic moulded unit. and the circular scratch, 1cm in diameter, is not yet a gaping hole but has begun to ooze thin layer of rust. i don't wish to replace the tub as it is not more than six years old. can i repair the damage and hide the ugly dot with VEZEL-PLAMUUR sealant, which is a fibre putty?

I have three rooms/areas (Wc [furthest point], Utility Room, and Kitchen) that require mechanical ventilation...

Is it acceptable, specifically from a Scottish regulations point of view, to connect these fans into the same 100mm duct or would this contaminate each of the rooms on the same line with smells/gasses from the other rooms?

Any replies would be very appreciated.

Thanks

The exterior of my townhome is brick and vinyl siding. I want to paint the brick a light tan color. Overall, I estimate it's about 500 square feet. How do painters determine the cost of a job like this? Do they use a spray gun or a roller? Any advice on what to look for in a good painter or good bid?

While rushing to an appointment this morning I ran into my boyfriend's mailbox (and the others attached to the post) and knocked it over. It's kind of old and wood and it looks like it ripped at the bottom so it's not as simple as just shoving it back in the ground. I'm not handy enough to know how to fix it, and I have no idea who I would contact about paying for a repair.

Help :(
