After much trial and tribulation my wife and I have found a house we love. We were just about done walking all the way through it and our agent noticed the corners in the basement slope pretty sharply about three foot from the corner. Then I realized that the sheetrock on the second floor was cracked considerably on the walls and ceiling. Then we walked outside and you can see the roof is slightly sloped toward that end. It is a poured concrete foundation, and it seems it is sloping just on that 1/3 of the house, not the entire foundation, so there are probably some pretty good cracks somewhere.
I haven't a clue how much something like this would costs, the price is about $20K less than it should be, so would it be worth it? I know some of the factors include size and location; it's a 3000 sq/ft house in an area in Kansas with fairly shallow bedrock (for piering). If anybody knows anything please do tell!
