shower keeps running?

I turn the hot and cold off , but water keeps running out of the showerhead.

This happens periodically. You need to buy replacement seals or washers at your local hardware store for your particular brand of shower valve. Then turn off the water for the house and disassemble the shower valve. Replace the seals, assemble the valve, and turn on the water to the house.
