I have a 110v chandelier that I have used in my home in the States. I would like to use that chandelier in my home overseas that is wired for 220v. To use the chandelier in 220v is the only thing thah I have to do is change the bulbs? There are no fans or motors. The chandelier is only lights.

my Indesit G32VS dryer is 15 months old, just out of guarantee of course. It has now decided to speed up & revolve one way instead of alternating direction every few seconds. Anybody know which part it requires. many thanks

I have replaced an ordinary bulb with a flourescent energy saver bulb in an outside lamp . The light comes on automatically at nightfall and has a regular switch indoors, not a dimmer. It starts to flicker after it has warmed up but I can stop the flickering by pressing on the metal body of the lamp body. This seems weird. Is it an earthing problem or what? An ordinary bulb works fine.

Under my bathroom sink, I was trying to replace the old valve, and when I turned it the whole pipe turned and broke. Now I have about 6 inches of jagged edged pipe sticking out of the wall. I need to replace that part, attach the new valve and then attach the hot water supply line. How do I fix the borken pipe myself?

Daytime outside temps are about 30 and night time temps about 10. I have the thermostat set on 69 during the day and the thermostat never gets above 68 and drops to 64 or colder at night. The blower will only shut off when I set thermostat below whatever the current reading on thermostat is.

My furnace is on the fritz. The house is a rental and I will not be paying the utilities, my tenant will be. I am just trying to decide between a high and mid efficiency gas furnace. I can get the mid installed for 1000$ or the high istalled for 1500$. What are the prices normally? I know I'm getting a pretty good deal. So which would you choose? Thanks

My daughter has a mattress her friends use when they sleep over. It flattens out by the end of the night, but when we blow it up we can't find the spot where the hole is.

We have no other problems with plumbing or septic system, but usually on the 2nd time the washing machine is letting out the dirty water into the pipe....boom water is spitting back out. I have to stay in laundry room and keep shuting off machine and turning it back on after I take flash light and look down drain to see water is lower! what a pain. Any Help out there? thanks

There is this weird blue stuff that periodically drips. It lands right behind the toilet. I don't know exactly what is causing this or why. I have also noticed that it sometimes comes out onto the rim of the toilet. Does anyone know what is going on and how do I fix this?

Pls Help. When my laundry machine begins the rinse cycle, and starts draining, the waist water shoots out of the top of the drain pipe sticking out of the wall. Its like the drain pipe can't take the waist water away fast enough so it spills out the the top. Has anyone else had this problem?

My boyfriend is visiting his parents tonight...of course....and I looked up and saw smoke coming from his floor lamp. I unplugged it and noticed dead flies underneath the light bulb. I am assuming that is what was causing the smoke. He has had that lamp for many, many years. What else could have happened? It really freaked me out and I feel really stupid right now.
