Depends how dry and how long they have been in the warped state. If you dug them into the ground still fairly wet from the pressure treating and they havn't completely dried in a warped state, sometimes it is possible to straighten them out by putting a solid and straight 4 x 4 on each side (vertically) of the warped post. Now using a strong cableing device tighten the two posts AROUND the warped one until you begin to see it straighten. Then using large heavy duty wood screws, tighten to secure and let the warped post set and dry for several days. Another trick is to make a small indiscreet saw cut in the warped area to help the process along. If this doesn't work, you will be pulling out the post and digging in new ones!

Do you put plastic in your kitchen and bathroom windows as well? I was thinking that if you put plastic in the bathroom window, it might get moldy? I have plastic on all windows except those two, but maybe I should put them on those windows as well. What do you think?

i've recently have received estimates on peerless boilers for my home. i would like to replace the old one this year and i received a quote for a model with 80% efficiency and one with 90% efficiency. the 90% one is pricer at about $1,500 more. i know it's a long term investment but is it really worth it? is there a real difference between the two?

My circuit breaker always trips off leading to shutting off the household electrical supply whenever I turn on my water heater in the common bathroom...is it because that the heater has a leak and causing the water to "squirt" inside the heater during showering causing the short cicuit or totally the water heater is broken and really really needs to be replaced? thanks...

i want to run the cold water straight from the mains but i live in a flat and the cold water to the bath/shower comes from the cold water tank in the loft but i cannot obtain permission from from landlord - he has suggested fixing a pump to the pipe from the cold water tank supply in order to boost the cold water flow to the shower. can this be done? i currently have to have the temperature on the combi boiler set to its minimum and only use the hot water tap in order to enjoy a relatively strong and pain free shower.

I live in an area that has hard water. But I have never had this problem before. I called the city and they said it wasn't their fault. I can't take a bath or wash clothes with that kind of water. I called a plumber but it will be several days before they can come.

We just bought a new house in Feb. this year. We find there are many problems with it, and we call the builder to fix them, but they are avoiding us, and now the ceilling which is under a bathtub of upstairs is leaking again. The liability is 1 yr. How can we make them work on our house effectively, and if the same old problems happen again in a short term, what should we do? can we ask for some indemnity from them? Do consumers play passive roles when we buying a house?
