I have an old mobile. It's raining and water is leaking through the windows and laundry door. Can I use an adhesive plastic sheet to keep the water out? I need a cheap fix.

I have a old house,1920's I think it was built. My water pump kicks on all the time! The tolite upstairs is not that old but the pipes are.The tolite runs for a min. and then stops for 5 mins. When I am running a bath..the second I turn off the water in the tub,the tolite starts to run! Same with the tolite downstairs, that one is only a few years old and the pipes are the same as it is an addition to the house. When I am up late at night in my office I hear the water pump kicking on in the basement ever 10 mins or so! My electric bill is huge! How can I fix this problem? What is causing it? I have not noticed any water leaks anywhere. We turned up the pressure on the pump. That helped a little. Thank god we have our own water well. Anyone have any Idea's?

Oil like canola, veg, olive. Can shortening go down the drain. My late grand dad said it can't but that was when i was a little kid and I am not sure if things have changed now so I have been saving some but i don't know what to do with it.

It won't drain. It will fill, soak, and spin but when it comes to the wash cycle it stops and then makes a humming noise until it shuts itself off. The machine is level. I have already drained the water, checked and cleaned the drainage hose and then tried it again. It still won't drain.

Thanks for the help.

The refrigerator is split vertically down the center. On the right side is one full-length refrigerator door. On the left side are two half-size freezer doors (top & bottom) separated by a center ice/water dispenser.

The unit is about 15 years old and a few months ago the full-length refrigerator door lost its suction, which now inhibits the door from staying securely shut.

Any significant movement to the unit—like the opening and closing of the other two freezer doors—causes the refrigerator door to open about ½ inch. This in turn produces condensation, which makes a puddle and then leaks through the floor.

I looked over all hinges and mechanisms—I also cleaned the unit thoroughly, but I have yet to find the problem. Any ideas what caused this or how I can fix it?

My basement wall is bowing on one end it appears as if it was braced before , what can be done about it? The floor is a road map of cracks which become little water ways when it rains . The floor is also uneven and sounds hollow underneath which I might add is creepy as hell. What can be done about all of this ? How much might it cost? Its fall should I wait or do it now?

There are 2 blade type fans on this heater . When the t-stat kicks on the unit only 1 fan works .The coil gets hot so the circulator pump is good . I tried the high/ low switch under the kitchen cabinet and just 1 fan spins . There's no access to unit to test motor .
