I'm currently attempting to build a new computer now and when I get finished I will have two..my computer desk now is too small and I need a bigger one..Please help me if you can,maybe recommend some lumber companies in Indiana. Thanks...

im sure you could go to your local home depot or small hardware store and get some lumber. You could probably go to your local landfill burn pile and get enough to build a desk. If you've ever heard of freecyle.org, its a yahoo group, you may find something you could use on there. Ive seen plans to make desks out of old pianos, or old doors, and they looked pretty neat. I have an old piano ive gutted, one with a neat sliding door that im gonna use, when i get around to finishing it.

I used to recommend building your own, but the last 3 I have built would have been cheaper to buy for something comparable. I say: Watch tiger direct, get mostly what you want, and add some goodies. Having said that, there is a lot of satisfaction in building your own.

What we did for our computers was we got a 8ft counter-top and placed it on top of several two drawer filing cabinets. we added shelves attached to the wall above it. The area is organized and easily accessible.
