I've moved into a house in Woodbury around a year ago and have had problems with drains which I beleived was either a) a collapsed or b) blocked mains drain. I've had a company out to look at the problem who have found a manhole cover in the front garden which is full to the top with water. They have bailed out around 20 buckets from it however the manhole goes down around 1mtr and then starts to widen out although obviously cannot see very much. what I'm keen to find out is whether there is any way (national register etc) to find out whether or not this is a septic tank and what the history is (size etc) I am having the water I can see pumped out on Monday

Although I have bled it, no air escaped. I turned the valves on the bottom of the radiator the other day and now don't know which direction they should face as one valve is hot but the radiator and other valve on the opposite side is cool.

I want to use one of my rooms as bedroom but a while ago there was some very small amount mold/mildew stains from a leak in the wall of the closet(during winter snow storm and water was squrting in) . Since it was bleached and dried back then and there's no leak right now, my landlord doesn't want to rip it open to see what caused the leak and mildew. I am concerned that when we have some snow in a month or two, the leak will come back and not only my clothes will be ruined but the mold will cause some more serious health problems for me, too.

I have a GE side by side fridge with a water and ice dispenser in the door.

Today, for no apparent reason, the water dispenser quit working.

All the fittings seem fine. The water to the fridge is turned on. I removed the water filter and tried the water dispenser and water wasn't even coming out of where the filter is (actually, it sometimes came out a drop at a time).

It sounds like the pump is trying to pump water through.

My wife said she turned the freezer colder (6 out of 10, was at 5 out of 10). Other than that, nothing changed.

Any ideas?
