More information is needed to answer your question accurately. What stage of renovation is the room in? Is the room a part of the garage? Does the room have a roof? Are there gaps in the exterior walls (i.e. you can see day-light through them)? What type of flooring is there? Are there working registers (the vents that provide heating / a/c) in the room?

Assuming that the only issue is that the walls are not insulated; you should not have a problem with moisture in the room. If there are working registers in the room and you want to keep the rest of the house warm without heating up the food storage room then you may want to consider closing that register. However, this is not suggested as it unbalances the HVAC system, making the heater work harder which lessens its life.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

TOO late now - but growing up in a sequence of farms in England, the pantry was always a windowless room in the center of the house - no technology needed, it worked for a 17th century house just fine !
