Hi I have 'bled' the radiator but no water in it at all? I know that usually when the air as been released from all other radiators the water will tipple out as the water level rises to the top and then get hot. BUT not on this radiator. radiator and all connecting pipes leading into the bedroom are stone cold, the radiators in all other bedrooms are fine as well as downstairs I have not had this radiator on since last winter and it has been turned off at the valve. Do you think there is a blockage?

I live in Florida in a 2 story house. It has a steeply pitched roof. I am going to be bringing my roof up to the new codes and both of these products qualify if properly installed. I am seeking imput to help in making my desision. The steel costs 2 - 2 1/2 times the shingle cost but if it will be better in the long run that is what I will buy.

My friend is having trouble getting her plumber to sign the warranty for the new boiler he just put in and everyone is telling her not to pay him until he's signed it. She gave it to him to sign, and he gave it back to her folded up but when she looked at it after he'd gone, he still hadn't signed it, just filled in his name and address at the top of the form. He's a Type A plumber i.e. angry all the time, and she's nervous.

I just spent $1200 to have a toilet installed. I live in the Seattle area. The toilet itself cost $400. I have a feeling I was ripped off.
Keep in mind the cost of living for the area (pretty high), and the fact that they delivered the toilet, installed it, and disposed of my old one. Also, the new toilet they installed began to leak due to hairline fractures in the model. The next day, the tech came out within 90 minutes, diagnosed the problem, got another new toilet and installed it for free (it was under warranty). My dad thinks I was totally ripped off.
Does anyone else know what an average cost would be to have the work done, keeping in mind I live near a city where the cost of living is pretty high.
Thanks.

We went to home depot yesterday because the pluggin for our dryer in this new home if different than what was on our dryer. Our dryer is 3 prongs and the wall outlet was 4. The assistant there told us the best thing to do was to change out the power cord on the dryer to a 4 prong. He said the red and black were hot, green go to green and just wrap the white in electrical tape and allow it to hang. We did all of that and guess what our dryer doesn't work still.
The cord we got is the same amps as our dryer, which is 30 amps. What are we to do now? I need my dryer.

ok, I have a portable dishwasher that has been in storage for a while, and when I hooked it up to use it today, the water would come out of the sprayers, but with not very much force. Not even enough to clean the dishes on the bottom rack.
My faucet is all the way on, and has good pressure. Any ideas on what it could be?
I really would like to fix it myself if possible.

The other day when I was babysitting the kid spent like 5 minutes in the bathroom (no joke) and then when he finally came out he was like "the toilet is clogged". I had no idea what to do. Do you plunge the toilet? If so, how? Or should I just leave it? I decided to just leave it for the parents to do.

It's an old house and it has a fuse box, when the fuse is pulled- no electricity is going to the designated area? Does that mean that as long as that fuse is not present, the wires fromthe fuse out that were previously connected are no longer dangerous and can be taken out?

My built-in microwave just went on the fritz. When I exchange it the store told me to watch that the screws who hold the microwave on the cabinet are in the same place, some are different. The one I like meassures 9 inches from the wall to the front, mine is 10 inches from the wall, that means I can only take one with the 10 inches if not the hole is getting to big, 9 and 10 it might not hold. Any suggestions? I really like that one, it's a LG LMV1630WW. My old one is Ewave and lasted only 3 years. Thanks in advance.

the house is about 50 years old, i just got it. for the past 12 years there was a indoor/outdoor carpet glued on the floors (with lots of very very nasty glue). I have sanded them 3 times and I now realize they really arenever going to look to good. Want to do somethings with the wood - anybody ever paint on unevenly stained and damaged wood? Any ideas (other then carpeting or continue sanding) would be truly appreciated.
