My built-in microwave just went on the fritz. When I exchange it the store told me to watch that the screws who hold the microwave on the cabinet are in the same place, some are different. The one I like meassures 9 inches from the wall to the front, mine is 10 inches from the wall, that means I can only take one with the 10 inches if not the hole is getting to big, 9 and 10 it might not hold. Any suggestions? I really like that one, it's a LG LMV1630WW. My old one is Ewave and lasted only 3 years. Thanks in advance.

You should be able to still purchase the microwave that you want. If the holes do not line up once you get it ready to install, you could use an additional piece of wood for a brace inside the cabinet. Sure you will be compromising the storage capabilities of the cabinet, but what do you store in that cabinet? Is it worth the sacrifice? I would suggest getting a piece of 1x4 and cutting it just short of the width of the cabinet, that way you can still get it inside the cabinet at an angle. Drill the new holes in the appropriate location and add several screws to hold the 1x4 in place inside the cabinet. You'll have to mount the new wall bracket also, but they usually have multiple holes available for stud spacing variations. If you've not installed one of these before, a second set of hands is very helpful! They aren't that heavy, but awkward. Good luck.
