Blocking sound is a difficult task. The most cost effective method would be to build a partition with a acoustic / barrier composite sandwiched in between. Products such as Durabarrier or UltraBarrier from will work well. It is important that you minimize any cracks, crevices or openings when reducing sound in any application. These products will allow you to build a wall with a total thickness of 2.0 - 2.5" with a sound reduction around 65% if installed properly.

You can glue egg creates to the walls. (Egg cartons of the paper kind. The large flat type are the best.) But your biggest problem will be your windows. You need double pane windows to keep sound out. You can try building a box to fit over the windows and place sound proofing in them, (Use the egg crates glued to the inside of the box.) but this will eliminate the light. There are also sound proofing panels available, but they are not cheap! Ask your Homedeopt man about it. They can order them.Good luck my friend.

Ever consider "no-bark" collars for the dogs?

Foam padding works. (Used it on the room for my drumset)

Wall Cork also helps and looks good.
