The reason why I want to seal the granite is because I have hard water and I don't want any hard water stains on my granite.

Windwhisperd and Knapp did not understand your question. Probably dropped out of school.

The answer is: Go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy Granite Counter Sealer in the kitchen dept. Follow directions Repeat once a year.

granite isnt the most pourous natural stone unless its light colored why seal. but go with a silox 8 sealer any penetrating sealer

silicone sealants. we have different kinds of sealant available in the market with all sorts of colors. but in my case, based on experience, i prefer you use a brand named: DOW CORNING Silicone sealant. this sealant can withstand all the rugged stress compared to other sealants.
