Help!!! I purchased a new A/C unit four months ago and last night it kept turning on and off and would not cool my house. What could this be? Could I damage the unit by trying to keep it running? Filter has been changed regurlaly and the inside unit runs as normal. Digital Thermostat is working properly.

I am fixing up and old upright piano (70 years old) that has very nice walnut burl veneer on it. There are several areas where large chips are taken out of it. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to patch them? Can I score the old veneer with a razor knife, heat it, and pry it off with a wood chisel? I have several sheets of walnut burl veneer I can use to make new pieces. Thanks!

I think a plug in air freshener was left on the table and it has leaked, i wiped the area with a warm damp cloth, i have been left with a small area back down to the wood. Other than stripping it and refinishing it, do you have any other idea's? Waxed over 20years with bee's wax. Stands out like a sore thumb! I would be grateful for any suggestions, my mother-in-law comes back on sunday!

Please help.

We four girls live together and none of us is good at DIY stuffs. Recently we found out the garage door opens automatically during the midnight or early morning while everyone is inside the house and not touching the remote control at all. This happened 3 times in a month and freaked us out. The garage door and the whole thing are 10 years old. Would there be some neighboors just have same frequency on the remote control to affect our door or it is time we have to change the garage opener and remote control?
How much will this cost? Please give me simple and clear answer, thanks so much!!

I have a KitchenAid Archetec Series KUDS01FLSS2.

The support that keeps the door from crashing down when you open it has busted.

The sites I've found so far make you look through 484 parts only to find they don't have what you need.

It has the large red cable from the battery that goes on one of the solenoid post, on the other side it has a large red cable, a small red wire, that I am assuming goes on the opposite post going forward to ignition switch. It also has a yellow wire that goes to the seat safety switch. Does this one go to ground? It has a small black wire that has its own clip and it is obvious where it goes. I need to know where the battery cable goes to start and where to go from there. Any help anyone can give is appreciated! Thanks

Could the new capacitor be bad too? The blower will still kick on if I give it a careful shove. Some one also told me there could be a dead spot in the motor and giving it the same symptoms of a bad capacitor.

I've lived in my house for 2 years now and have always felt the water bills seemed high. So recently I did some investigating and calculated i was using 66 gallons per day (based on my bills) In addition i read my water meter one week ago and again today. According to this monitoring, im using 85 gallons per day. I checked and it only takes 30 gallons when i shower. So I'm wondering what could be causing all the extra water use. I do have those old style radiators that run water thru them. However it is still summer and I am not heating the house. does water still get pumped through these radiators. maybe I should turn the valve off during the summer? I'm not ever sure that valve will turn?
