How in the world do I get that ring around the bottom of my house off. From the ground to about two feet up it's sorta greenish brownish yuck.

The easiest way is with a hot water pressure washer. Select an environmentally friendly soap concentrate to use with it. If you're anywhere close to Chicago, call Reliable Finishing Products in Elk Grove Village for the cleaner (ask about Challenger) and call High PSI (in Glendale heights?) to rent a good power washer. Otherwise, contact a local power washer dealer and ask if they rent. The hot water power washer will do a much better job than the more common cold water type.

If it is actually brick you are cleaning then you can use baking powder and water. Just dip a scruby brush into the baking soda then dab it in the water and start scrubbing. I saw it on some TV show.

You can use a power washer or Muratic Acid and a scrub brush, be sure to wear eye covering and rubber gloves to use the Muratic Acid.
