My porch is so unlevel I have a large pool of water each time it rains. Is there a way to level this off and adjust the pitch away from the house that won't fall apart in 6 months?

I have an older push mower. About a month ago, I changed the oil (which looked disgusting, thicker than choc syrup), and after two cuts, it looks like choc syrup again! Can anybody explain what makes oil go from "honey" to "chocolate" and how I can slow this down? Thanks.

I want to get it level and smooth so that it can be painted or whatever. Is there a self leveler that is available to homeowners. Or is there other options. I dont want to put in a wood subfloor.

My son left a pen in his pocket and it exploded in the dryer. Now not only does his clothes have ink ALL over them so does my dryer. I am worried that if I dry more clothes it will just get all over those to. If you have any suggestions that would be great cause I really don't want to buy a new dryer!

Been in our house almost a year now and it is 100 yrs. old Water pressure was ok when we moved in but lately its worse. I have a python cleaner for mys fish tank and now there is not enough pressure in the house to allow it to suck water up anymore. What is going on? We had a water softner tank installed professionaly and noticed its been sucky pressure since then. Help!!!

Why are so many people too lazy to use oil/Alkyd paint?

Really, washing your hands and brushes with a bit of Varsol is not a terrible chore. Or here si an idea...toss the god damed brush, they are cheap and not really reusable anyways.

Alkyd paint is so much nicer, its thick, water proof, better adhesion, and less prone to wear from foot traffic?

Why are people too lazy to wash with varsol and too delicate to handle the fumes? Dont you want your paint job to last?

Oh, and on the same note, why are so many people too lazy to prime?

I do this kind of work on and off, and it never ceased to amaze me how lazy people are and how much shoddy work they do out of being lazy.

My neighbor overwaters his yard, and as a consequence, the water floods part of my yard, which is dirt. The dirt gets moldy and smelly when it's real hot, like in summer, and when it's not real hot the ground just gets really mushy and you can't walk around. I've asked the neighbor to stop watering so much, which has made him really angry so he won't have anything to do with me. How can I get rid of the water inexpensively?

I am trying to install a GFI in my bathroom but it keeps popping. I have narrowed the problem down to the high hats. I think the switch for the high hats is installed on the neutral, but I am not sure. When I hook up the wires for the high hats, the gfi pops. I have checked all the outlets for reversed wires. I can not get to the wires on the high hats. Is this dangerous?

This door is outside on the side of my garage. The roll up doors have cemented bottoms so I do not see the difference. They are both exposed to the weather.
Thank you.
