Use bleach and after the mold is gone treat the wood with some Murpheys oil soap, its wonderful. But really bleach is the only thing that kills mold. If you look on products that claim to kill mold its got bleach in it.

Use a bleach and water solution. Bleach is the best way to kill the mold.

When you use it be sure to rinse it off with just water so that it will not harm the wood.

Mold is a living fungus. You have to kill it, Clorox (full strength) is very good for this. Afterwords you must wash off the Clorox thoroughly...
