I have a KitchenAid Archetec Series KUDS01FLSS2.

The support that keeps the door from crashing down when you open it has busted.

The sites I've found so far make you look through 484 parts only to find they don't have what you need.

Hi Kat...

The site I like to use for all appliance repair parts is: repairclinic.com. There, you can search for parts using a very intuitive drill-down procedure. The page link below is the result of a search for the door hinge assembly for your Model # Kitchen Aid DW.

It's the best I could find without having the part to visually compare. They give you a photograph of the part taken on a 1" grid pattern, so you can compare for yourself.

I've used these guys before and saved a lot of money!

,I believe you are trying to find the hinge arm. For the left hinge arm the part number is 8534854. The right hing arm is 8534853.

Go to www3.sears.com and type the model number in the space and click on go. On the next page select the correct model number from the list. On the next page select the door and panel parts and select view diagram. The part numbered 2 in the diagram is the hinge arm. If that is not what you need I am sure that you can find it there. Write down the part numbers of the parts that you need. You do not need to order them from Sears if you don't want to. The part numbers are the correct factory authorized part numbers so you can order them anywhere you like. The reason I say that is because on some of these lookup sites they give you their own part numbers and they are the only ones that know what part you need from those numbers so there is no advantage of looking up a part on those sites unless you buy from them.

Those other web sites the others have given you so far: www.kitchenaid.com is a sales site only and no parts
www.culinaryparts.com is a referal site to sites like you have encountered before with the 484 parts etc.
