I've been to view a property, and in the lounge there is an old gas fire and behind it in the chimney breast is the back boiler. Can it be easily replaced, or is it worth leaving as a cost effective method of heating the house.

I need to bury my cable service coax cable in my backyard. I have already battled with the cable company; I lost and I am moving forward. I anticipate I need to run the cable through PVC pipe, dig a 6 in deep trough, lay the pipe - with the cable inserted - and the waterproof the openings, but I want to be certain. I also want it to look clean and professional as I plan to lanscape later. Your collective assistance is greatly appreciated.

I'm buying a condo, and the airconditioner isn't cooling. I noticed that there was ice on the pipes going into the outside unit. The condo is only two years old. Could this be an expensive problem?

We had a verbal agreement with our neighbor to replace the fence between our properties. One part of the fence which is very small lies on her property. It is exactly where the fence we replaced was. During the construction she became upset with the height of the fence and that the fence was on her property. Our contractor asked if she wanted the fence to be moved with a couple of his workers present. She said no it was fine and that he should proceed. After becoming upset that some grass clippings were in her drive after I mowed the lawn she was furious and said...I am going to call the better business buereu and you are going to have to move that part of the fence. Any suggestions? She had a verbal agreement with us, and then talked to our contractor and allowed him to proceed with the fence. Is this good enough to hold up in court? Thank you.

I have an Amana refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. The freezer works fine but the refrigerator doesn't cool anymore. I noticed some frost on the back of the freezer and tried defrosting it. i left it unplugged for a day and when I plugged it back in the fridge worked for a few hours but then stopped. I assume somethings freezing up but I have no idea how to stop this problem from continuing. Any suggestions?

i've rec'vd a quote for a new dual pack 'york 4 ton 13 seer unit for $3600. that does not include the price of fixing any leaking they may find in the attic duct work. i'm wondering how much that may cost me. the duct test and permits are all included in the $3600 price. other quotes for the same unit were going to cost about $4900.and they would fix the leaks also in that price. any info is helpful.....

I have bought a brand new dining room table and chairs, but the two end chairs with the armrests are about an inch and a half too high to slide underneath the table. I have seen a lot of different types of furniture lifts and caster, but they are either too big or poor quality. I need something that is about 1 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/2" high. It needs to be something that the table legs cannot slip off. Does anyone have any ideas?

I dropped something heavy on my tub, and a chunk of enamel flew off the size of my thumbnail. It looks like a big black mark on the white tub!

could I buy a small enamel paint tin (like model makers use) and just dab on a little of that?
