Our compressor went on our heat pump, it was replaced. Three weeks later when we needed the central air it did not work. I called the same company that did the first replacement. It is also the same company that has serviced our heat pump since 2002. The compressor went again and this time when it was replaced they found it not working because there was a restriction in the system. Should this have been found after the first compressor was replaced? Do we have any recourse on who pays for the refrigerant(because we had 14lbs put in the first time and it was found to be contaminated now, therefore they had to drain and put 20lbs of refrigerant in the system) and labor? Are we being ripped off?

It was working up until about a week ago - I noticed the flow of cold water got less and less, until it became virtually a dribble. Then it stopped completely a few days ago. Even if you turn the tap on fully it doesn't pour any water. The tap also seems quite stiff to turn, and doesn't allow many revolutions before it won't let you turn it any further.

The hot water tap is fine.

My refrigerator is on a floor that is slightly unlevel. The left side is about 1 cm higher than the right side. It broke down a few months ago, and the repair guy said that was the reason.

He said this caused the water inside to freeze instead of allowing it to drain out, which caused the heater inside to go into overdrive and eventually burn out, causing the refrigerator to completely break down. He told me that I should level it (but if it broke again, the company would not cover the costs.) So I levelled the fridge, and lo-and-behold, a few months later, it's broken again.

Do I just have a faulty fridge? The brand is SUMMIT. Was the repairguy BSing me trying to avoid having the company replace the fridge entirely or was he telling me the truth? What's wrong with my fridge? It's not even 1-year old.

(Only serious responses please.)

Please give me some great tips for sorting through and cleaning a very cluttered and messy apartment. Please give specific advice. Serious replies only. This is a move-out, so it has to be a very thorough cleaning, but needs to be done within a week or so.

Regarding the Tax Energy Efficiency Act of 2005, where I can get a tax credit for installing efficnecy items in my home. I recently installed a new natural gas hot-water tank. I understand to get the tax credit the Energy Factor must be 0.80. I can't find anything on the Energy
Efficiency Label on the tank that has the Energy
efficiency number. How can I find this.

Also, the tank was covered under my home owners appliance insurance that I paid $350.00 for, and I also had to pay a $100.00 deductible. How much can I claim. I have searched the internet and I can't find answers to these questions.
