I have 3 kids and soon to have hardwood floors (yes hardwood 3/4" naildown). I really want an American Bulldog but I also want her to be an inside pet. I know that my kids will have the dog running and stuff on the floor. Is that something to worry about or is that the beauty of hardwood?

Had a contractor install a Central AC unit and he soldered the copper tubing leading from the unit (outside),,into our basement where it connects to our furnace (blower). Is there any industry guideline that still accepts this method of installation. I hear there is a more effective, efficient way of installing this without soldering the pipes

I need to build an arm to stabilize an automatic gate. The gate is made of cyclone fencing with 1 1/2” top and bottom rails. I want to have a steel arm fabricated that will press a Cylindrical Steel Roller to the top rail of the gate, holding it in the upright position, and rolling as the gate opens and closes. What I’m looking for is a cylindrical, tube shaped roller about 4 to 6 inches in length and perhaps 1 to 1 1/2 inches in diameter that would have a threaded rod extending from each end for attachment. Does anyone know what the proper name of this type of roller is. And where I might buy one? Thank you. I hope my explanation is adequate to help you to understand what I’m after. A drawing would be so much easier.

I'm the president of my neighborhood condo association and we are located across the street from a public golf course. A few residents with units facing the the golf course have complained that their windows have been broken by golfers at the course. What recourse do we have against the golf course for our damaged private property?
