I found a new unused camera bag in my closet. Now I remember why it's not used... the zipper is not smooth and is difficult to zip. Is there anything I can put on it that's NOT greasy or oily to help it work better?

Old range hood had just 1 white & 1 black to obviously connect to the 1 of each coming out of the wall. Installation instructions say only "connect the electrical".

I've noticed that within the last 2 months whenever I turn the water on in the bathroom sink or shower, we are getting shocked. I had the water running in the sink, the presure (force coming out of faucet) of the water was high and when I placed my hand under the water I felt as if I was shocked. Like a surge went through my hand. We have experienced similar thing while in shower. Reaching out of shower and my hand felt a surge. Did not hurt, but scared my daughter. Could this get worse? What is the problem? Help!

The motor is about 20 years old, NEVER failed. Spark is good, gas is ok, and it feels like there is compression, but the motor won't start. The shut-off switch tests ok. There is spark.

The lump is a raise in the floor right in front of the sink. It's about 6 inches in length and maybe 3 inches in width and appears to be having to do with the beam. This has only recently happened since my kitchen sink sprung a leak. I'm concerned about mold or rotting. My father in law says this is nothing to be concerned over and someone else said it might be the house swelling and settling due to the extreme heat we've had lately. If anyone has any advice please I'd love to hear.

I am taping an air conditioner in a window (I know, I shouldn't but I am!) using card board around the edges and want to know if duct tape is my best bet for staying power. I'm just trying to seal up any cracks so the cold air dosn't get out. The air conditioner is in an upper window so no break-ins to worry about just don't want any precious cold air to escape!

It's in that steel drain that comes from the basement and goes all the way to the attic. The section between the basement floor and the basement ceiling has a nice big crack in it, and water seems to leak. How does that rusty section get replaced without the rest of it falling apart. The house was built in the 1930's. Is it a do-it-you job, or should we call a plumber?

My rental is old and in bad shape. My outdated fridge has a funny odor and the freezer wont close and doesn't keep stuff frozen. I've asked my landlord to check on it and they haven't - claiming that the owner wont pay for such a repair - it's been months! Also my walls, floors, door, stairs, exterior, are all questionably up to standard- how do I find out how bad it needs to get before it's a code violation?

I live in a 1,024 sq ft condo with a 12 yr old split central a/c system. Recently a bad burning smell came thro' the vents with the a/c on. After searching in vain for a dead animal in the attic (at my suggestion), a technician told me it was a freon leak and that, considering the age of the system and cost of replacing coils, etc., I should probably replace the system. Does this sound right?
