The motor is about 20 years old, NEVER failed. Spark is good, gas is ok, and it feels like there is compression, but the motor won't start. The shut-off switch tests ok. There is spark.

Compression tested out at 80psi with a compression tester. Changed the gas completely.

that's good compression,so the head gasket isn't blown.take the air filter off and squirt some gas in the carb then try to start it.if it starts on that gas but stops after it used the gas that you squirted in then the carb is clogged or dirty. if it did int even start then its has no spark or the intake is not opening

gas is just ok you say? I would try cleaning the carb or replacing it

Have you tried "quick start".If that starts it your carb. needs work.
