You have a real problem.
Make sure your plumbing is securely grounded.
look outside near your electrical meter, There should be a copper rod driven into the ground somewhere around your house, make sure that the wires attached to it have not come loose.
If you do not clearly understand my message you should call a professional plumber or electrician.
This type of problem can result in serious injury or death
Do not take this lightly.

If it feels like the static shock you get from rubbing your woolly feet on a wood floor and then touching someone, then that's most likely what is it. I felt it too but usually during the winter when it's dry in the house. If it's more like a sustained shock then you may have a problem the a light switch or receptacle grounding out in the bathroom. Have all your electrical checked right away. If it is a ground fault, then yes, it is dangerous. They used to use the water pipes to ground the electrical systems in older houses.

There is a short somewhere in your electrical system and the current is running to the ground wire. All of the ground wires from each recepticle run to the electric panel which is grounded by a connection to the plumbing system. Call an electrician fast. It could get worse. Try unplugging appliances one at a time and see if the condition improves.

sounds like an issue we had many years ago and the culprit was two crossed wires in the attack and it so happened that if we were wet and touched the bathroom mirror, it would give us a very light shock.
the problem could be virtually anywhere which is very surprising! it wasn't until we had someone add new insulation in our attack...he found the problem.

Important! Something isn't grounded! Somebody could get seriously hurt or killed. This is nothing to be handling, if you don't know exactly what you are doing. Call an electrician NOW.

Sounds like you have a loose wire in wall , light fixture, floor, or somewhere that is not grounded....you need to have it fixed...If i spray water on my air conditioner outside it does the same thing, if i don't have on my shoes it really does hurt sometimes....
