the lights are supose to pop on at night, but mines are on all day

Try cleaning the photo cell that senses light. If it doesn't work after that, then you'll need to replace the sensor. I had to do that for a light at the top of a shed 25' high. Not fun. Hope yours is more accessible.

Obviously you have a timer in the garage or the house. Just open the door and re-set the on and off setters on the timer.
If these are sensors that are governed by the sun, there also is a timer for those sensors.

some sensor lights you have to turn them off and back on at the main switch. If you do it quick they stay on. if you count to ten they reset.

Check the photocell. Sounds like it's bad.

try unpluging it for about 10 min then plug back in
