any other tips on how to add value to my home?

I assume that you are planning on replacing your windows. I'm also guessing that you are going to install them yourself. If so, measuring the windows for the purposes of ordering is extremely important.

I would stay away from the big box retailers, and head on over to your local lumberyard. They will send one of their outside sales people out to your house to measure the windows in order to make sure that they are ordered correctly. They will also be easier to deal with if you have a warranty claim or a problem. You might spend a few extra bucks, but it will be worth it in the long run.

Try any building supply store--Menards, Home Depot, etc. for windows. They say the two most important rooms people look at are the kitchen and master bedroom. Also the landscaping--it's the first thing people see. Keep the paint colors neutral and make sure the floors look good. Get rid of all the clutter.

If you're trying to add value, new hardwood floors can really give a boost. Fresh coat of paint inside and out will also help.

did u try lowes or home depot? nice landscaping adds value to your home, finished basements add value, i think that woodflooring adds value as well, along with sprinkler systems....
