It really not a good idea- grass generally goes dormant in the summer so all you will really be doing is feeding the gruubs. Leave it alone until fall.

Yes but it depends on what you are using for fertilizer. I have llamas and horses and they fertilize constantly every day of the week and that takes no effort on my part at all and it is a by product so very cheap too.

If you want to use a chemical or granular fertilizer you need to water it in thoroughly after applying so it does not burn up your grass. I live in North Texas and fertilizing with chemical or granular right now with no rain is not a good idea. The llama fertilizer will keep until the rain comes and does not harm the grass at all.

Happy Fertilizing and good growing!!

Not a good idea. Usually spring and fall are when you should fertilize. You must have damp or wet grass. Check with your local state agricultural center and they will help you with determining what type of fertilizer to get....it varies according to type of grass and the numbers on the bag.

It is not recommended but if you must....water the lawn until it is absolutely soaked. Do this is the early morning hours....before 10AM!! Do not depend on a sprinkler- type watering to do the trick unless you allow it to go for at least an hour/more. If you do not water it well..it will burn the lawn completely.

I used Scotts Summer Guard. It is for the summertime and the lawn is looking good. Got it at Home Depot.

Yes, you can, but it may not be prudent to do so.
