From my experience a baiting system and chemical treatment work the best when used together. Sears Termite and Pest control used to do both together and we never had a problem. I know the technology is changing so the answer may be different.

As far as making a treatment that would make the termites Woozee is completely stupid. To get the proper treatment to just make them woozzee would be really hard. When you pay for them to come back they treat the house again because usually you have a Termite Bond on the house. They dont want termite damage cause they would have to pay for repairs that were caused by the damage of the termites they did not kill.

Their goal is to come to your house every month to make the insects woozy but not eradicate them so they can keep coming back. Nice gig.
