I live in Central Florida, so it is hot and humid most of the year. I am trying to figure out what is best to use for my landscaping. I like the way red lava rock looks best, but am also ok with rocks of mixed colors (not the plain white kind). I dislike the cedar/cypress/etc mulchs the most, but will use what's best. Also, I am looking for something that is easy to keep cleaned up when the leaves start falling. I have mulch now and its hard to use the blower or rake. In summary, I want something easy to upkeep, good for the plants, keep bugs at bay (as much as possible). Any suggestions?

More commonly, they show up before it rains or in hot and humid weather. They have many legs. If I take out half their body, the remain half still moves.

Our new sodded blue grass lawn is developing yellow spots along the edges of the lawn in a row and in circles around the trees. We are watering like crazy. What could this be?

I have a compost bin for pickup by our local garbage collection company, they come by once a week to pick up our composted waste materials... food scraps, used napkins, yard waste from the backyard, etc... how long does it actually take for these materials to break down into soil? How does that process work?

Hi
Can someone please name around 8 (if there are this many) different types of lilies? I would prefer the regular name that people know like 'oriental' and 'casablanca' instead of the long species names.
Your help is much appreciated. Thanks!!

I have grown this year from seed some Lemongrass. However due to the less than ideal summer it has only reached around a foot high and with no real body to it as yet. Am I right in presuming that if I bring it indoors in a warm, well light place it will be ok and I can re pot it in spring?
