i love my plant i had one before and i was foolish to think it would live outside all winter (was planted out there) this one is kept inside if its cool out. it wants to grow new leaves on the top but not down by the center. and as u can see its still blooming.

I planted some watermelon seeds in my backyard just for fun. I didn't expect them to grow but they DID! Now they are pretty decent size but I don't know how to find out if they are ripe, without opening them. I cut one open yesterday and it was still white inside.

I've seen people grow a tall bush in place of a fence, that can be trimmed to be fairly narrow as well. What type of bush are they planting? Are there many that can grow like that? And how do I plant it so it grows correctly?

The strip of grass is about 30ft long. Need privacy, something that wont grow out of control, and something that doesn't lose its leaves in the winter.
