It could be that you are over watering. Are your leaves turning yellow too? Also, it could be that your rose is root bound. You didn't say if it was an average sized rose or a mini, but I do know that both need a large pot to grown in because they hate being root bound and will eventually strangle themselves. An average size rose needs at least a 25 liter pot which is about the size of a half barrel to do well. A Mini won't need that large of a container, but it still needs room to grow. You might consider repotting and see if that helps.
Good Luck

I think roses are better in the ground myself, but I do have one in a pot which is doing very nicely. it could be the potting mix or too much water, I usually water mine once a week, but I spray with rosespray every few days as well, and it could also be lacking fertilizer and I use sudden impact for roses which is great, and I give them potash sometimes too. love roses, good luck. you could also try looking up gardening sites for roses and you will probably find a mountain of info there.

I'm having the same problem.........could it be the change of seasons?? Leaves seem to be drying up, turning yellow and dropping off. They should have been repotted back in the spring; to a bigger pot.
