It is a tiny black pinlike pest that eats the leaves of the roses. No matter what pesticide I spray on, it still appears the following morning. What kind of pest did I have and what pesticide should I use?

I have a plant that I got from my Grandmothers funeral. I have never been a real plant person, but I am determined to keep this one alive. So I replanted it and am going to great means to take care of it. I just want to know if you think that talking to plants really helps to nurture it and help it to grow and stay healthy? In your professional opinion. Thanks.

Ok i bought a VFT and i did my research b4 i bought it. but i still got a couple of questions...

i live in long beach and i have it in a plastic container with another plastic container over it to keep in the humidity and the there is enough room for air to go in an out(the plastic is thin and clear) and i have it in Sphagnum peat moss and pearlite.

question one
do i need to buy green moss for the surface layer or is this ok.??

question 2
can i leave it in there (there is enough room for it to grow) or do i have to move it from there?

question 3
how can i make a terrarium?

question 4
on this container that i have it i take it out side to get sun light. but i don't know if i should put it in the shade or do i have to put in under the sun or just enough for sunlight to hit it but not literally under the sun??

question 5
how can i make my own terrarium? where can i buy one?

question 6
what temperature does in have to be in the "dome/container?"

i thank you for all your help.

I was recently watched the 1961 movie El Cid, which was filmed in Spain, and saw the strangest trees I have ever seen. They had tall spindly single trunks and their foillage sat on top like a puffy cotton ball. They were scattered along a road running through a fairly empty rocky valley, They almost looked like they belong in a science fiction movie.

I need a lot of willows for my firemaking skill. If you like to cut willows for skill and not money, could you list your usename so that I could trade you sometime? My username is 1847zr.

Do you think it would be economical for me to buy a goat so I won't need to mow my lawn so often? I'm a single mother and I really don't have the time or the strength. I saw 2 in the classifieds this weekend so I know it's possible.

It's better for the environment, and the goat's poop could act as fertilizer. I could name him "Shecky", and charge kids $5/pop to pet him.

I had landscaper plant 11 white pines in back yard... fairly moist area and I watered them frequently. The landscaper planted some high with bottom sticking out of the ground. The landscaper also failed to mention to me I needed to cut back the shrubbery behind the trees. I am not dealing with the back of many of the trees dead and I can see many trees pines are that dead brown color in the inside of the tree... some have brown on the tips of the pines. I hired someone to cut back the shrubs so more sunlight is getting to the back of the trees, I put mulch at the bottom of the trees especially those who had some roots on top of the soil....but I am afraid it is too late. Is there anything else I can do?

It is blocking my view, and the roots are beginning to poke up through the lawn, plus I am bothered about where the roots are going as it is fairly close to the house. I am presuming I cut it faurly close to the ground and apply some kind of chemical?

I am interested in buying a tractor / lawn cutter. The majority of the use will be cutting grass but there might be minor hauling involved. Whcih make / model is a best bet for this type of work? What HP should the engine be? I am looking at a 42" cut on the blades. So it is a medium size tractor. Thank you.

I have numerous house plants that are dusty and dull looking. What can I use to clean them gently? I remember years ago someone said a cotton ball with mayo on it - ever heard any such thing? Misting them just makes them look worse - it doesn't clean them!
