no,, just cut off the stems when they're done flowering to make them look more kempt...

I live in zone 4 and my yuccas bloom wonderfully every 2 years. They should not die after flowering. As they are evergreen, they don't die back in the winter either.

Nope. The poster about the agave was correct. The Century Plant dies after it finally gets around to flowering. Most bromeliads do the same thing, the flower is the end of their lifecycle.

No. You may be thinking about agave........which may die back after making new "pups" around their base...and that takes awhile.
