I live in east Texas and we have sugar ants really bad. I just got a new vehicle and they are already making there way inside and I don't have food or anything in there. What can I do to get rid of them and keep them out of my car?

If you do not have small children or small pets...... mix equal parts of powered boric acid with peanut butter. The powdered boric acid can be obtained at most pharmacies. Make the mixture in a throw away cup, cut out one inch squares of thin card board and put a glob on each piece of card board. Slide the baited pieces of card board into as many concealed places as practical. The reason regular bug sprays do not work is that it only kills the few sugar ants that you can see. The boric acid and peanut butter bait is carried back to the nest. Richard in Spring, Texas

Kill ants with boric acid. Dissolve four teaspoons of white powder and a cup of sugar in three cups of almost boiling water. After mixture cools, pour some of the mixture in a flat container where ants can get to it. Keep filling as needed. Your problem should be gone within three days.

There are bait traps & liquids at Home Depot,
or probably any garden centre.
They take these back to the nest & wipe out the colony.
There are also sprays, if you know their paths.

Get a good insecticide and spray every nook abnd crany you can, and all around your foundation. Get a good topical treatment for your lawn and yard and spray the underside of your car, and door and vent openings.
