I've been getting alot of weeds in all of my flowerbeds & gardens, what is the best way to prevent all these weeds instead of having to go out there all the time and pulling weed.

um.. no gasoline.. it poisons the soil. It will also kill desirable plants. yeeeaaaah.. and don't smoke when you put it down! Glad someone told you that!!

But seriously- pull the weeds, roots and all. spread a pre-emergent (like the aforementioned Preen) on the soil, then apply mulch 3-4" deep around your plants.

Pre-emergents work by keeping seeds from germinating. Don't put it anywhere you plant on trying to grow anything from seed.. mulch helps prevent them from coming up and it helps balance moisture in the soil. It also looks nice in your beds.

Sorry, but part of having nice flowerbeds is having to pull the weeds once in a while. that's gardening!

Mulch. The classic book on this is Ruth Stout's How to Have a Green Thumb Without an Aching Back.

They make this garden tarp sstuff. You cut it to fit the space you want and cut holes to fit your plants through. It will prevent weeds and roots from growing up where the tarp is. Throw some soil or mulch down to cover it up when you are finished. Another option is to water your flower bed and pull the roots out. When the soil is wet they come out really easily. Then throw them in the trash. They won't come back after that.

I always used Preen. It is a preemergent. Will stop alot of weed seeds from germinating. Good Luck!!

You should try to remulch your gardens. On rocks or patios, you can use gasoline, yes gasoline. Dont light it or anything, lol. Also, there are no easy ways to get rid of them. But, you could try putting plastic lining under your mulch. I hope I could help. : )
