Not at all. It seems to me that the National Garden Scheme is just another way for nosy people to pry into the back gardens of complete strangers.

It's similar to the hobby of going to see houses for sale so you can have a look round even though you've no intention of buying.

This in turn is an off-shoot of the "walking the dog so I can have a good look into other people's windows" hobby.

Hmm I don't really think so - there are a few gardens around here that are part of the scheme that certainly aren't owned by affluent people, just hard working garden lovers.

Mind you, those that have huge teams of gardeners doing all the hard work then taking it as their own efforts could be asserting their ego's!!
