Total dummy question. I just bought a house last year and moved in during winter so the sprinkler must have been turned off. now that it's almost summer i'd like to turn the sprinkler back on. i saw a programmer in the garage and turned that on, but where's the faucet? where would it usually be?

thanks

This is my first Gerber Daisy plant, and the flowers that are on it currently are starting to fade, and I'm not knowledegable on the care of those plants. Do I keep cutting each stem off near the base of the stem, or higher up to help procreate more flowers during the summer? Thank you for your answers.

My front garden is small. It is only 8 by 2.5 feet. It gets full sun.
Instead of regular flowers, I would like to try roses. But I need to get one that is continuously blooming. Is there any such rose?

I have an apple tree which is infested with wooly aphids and affecting it badly. I've tried spraying it with pesticides and pruning it heavily, however I can not get rid of them. This year they seem to have come back as badly as last year. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to deal with this pest. Ideally I would like an organic solution, but all suggestions are welcome if it will remove this pest.

Well , a week ago I purchase an herb kit. I followed the directions.
First, I poured warm water in a bowel. Than I put the pellets of soil in them to make them grow and rise. Than I put them into the clay pots that came with the kit. Put the seeds in. Every day following the instruction, I have than sprayed water every other day. Still have not seen anything go up.
So why is it that in the cooking shows they alway's have these healthy looking growing herbs in their pods?

It has very large green leaves, it is about 4 ft. tall right now, and the stalk is VERY thick, about 3 inches around and is a reddish, purple color. Anyone know where is can find out what this plant is or may be, or do you know what it might be? Any websites? Please help, I think it might be some type of fruit bearing tree, as we have been throwing our fruit seeds out in the backyard for years.Thanks.

I'd like to plant flowers, but I don't want the weeds in there. I've heard of people using the black, garbage bag-like stuff, to choke out the weeds. How does that work? Or do you have other ideas for my dirty weeded front yard?
