depends on the type of bug you want to zap
they work great on flying insects but don't expect them to get rid of a crawling insect problem

no they do not work for mosquitoes! People hear zapping and see dead bugs because they zap many bugs but rarely kill mosquitoes. In fact, they kill many helpful bugs-even ones that help control the mosquito population. Don't take my word for it take the word of Iowa State University(among others)

What does work is a mosquito magnet. It replicates what mosquitoes are attracted to and then sucks them up- it is best to keep it a little away from your patrons because it does attract mosquitoes.
here is a link to how mosquito magnets work

I have heard that putting up a bat house helps(because they eat mosquitoes) but i'm not sure if it does or not

They do work, but not on mosquito's. You can buy certain ones that have a place to add a cartridge that will attract mosquito's. I bought one at Home Depot 2 years ago ( don't remember the brand ). I got rid of mine because it was killing things I didn't want to kill. They probably still carry them.

Wow, do they work! I had a large one at the corner of my house when I lived in a rural area. It killed millions of bugs! It zapped them so fast I had to empty the thing every morning, because they couldn't fall thru the grid fast enough.

You betcha' they work...just make sure you put it far enough away from the door so as not to attract them to the customer upon entry to the establishment. In fact with a business such as yours I would put up more than one. I almost feel sorry the the mosquito's.

yes they do work.. place or hang them a ways away from your tables.. because the attract bugs also... and the dead bugs drop... its kinda cool to hear a really big bug getting zapped.. i really cant stand bugs.... bug spray yard guard works also... if you rest. is open at night and you have a break between lunch and dinner spray the guard before placing eating materials on the tables... good luck!

We bought one from Walmart a few years ago for around $20.00 and it has been worth every penny. I just love the sound of those little boogers getting scorched!

they do work but be sure to place them in a distant location since they do attract the bugs as well as kill them. plus there is the pile of dead bugs beneath it to consider.
the best place would be close by, but not actually in the restaurant
