I have onions growing all over my yard and in flower beds this spring. Is it safe to eat them? Can I transplant them to my vegetable garden? They look just like green onions that I would plant in my vegetable garden.

It's not that good either. There are some bare spots, a spot where they had a pool (which has grass its just a different color than the rest of the lawn) , and just general thinness throughout. Where to start..fertilizer to help what is there?..Then put down more seed?..or seed then fertilizer...or what? What kind of grass to plant?
