I have been in Business for 3 years now, and was wondering if my prices are at a fair market value. $40.00/hr. Grass Cutting...15.00/Hour Flower Bed Maintenance...

well that really all depends on how long it takes you to cut someones grass and maintain their flower beds. most people just charge by the yard instead of charging hourly for lawn care or at least that is the way the guy that cuts my lawn does it at 75 bucks amonths so yea you figure your chargeing basically 40 bucks a yard then yea i would go through you

Seems odd to me that the price of mowing is higher than the price of flower bed maintenance... A 10 year old kid can mow a lawn for $10, but it takes patience and experience to do a satisfactory job with landscaping.

I won't lie, I wouldn't pay $40 for a mowing period. But I would consider paying $15 per flower bed if I needed some help while on vacation IF the person was knowledgable and thorough.

Never pay hourly for these services, get a quote on what it would cost to do the certain job. Technically someone could cut your lawn in one hour, but they could then spread it out over 2 hours, so you need to get a quote for the job, not the time it takes.

depends on 1) the going rate in your area and 2) whether you have a good reputation that inspires a loyal following among customers

i think that's a fair price, but with the price of fuel you might need to raise your rate some.
