How big would your ideal garden be? What would you have in it? What would you like to do in it?

I'm hoping I get a wide variety of answers. Let your imagination run free.

I love Yahoo answers.

thanks, Sandra.

I have a few Asiatic Lily plants in pots used to decorate an indoor water feature. The blooms are nearly expired and they're looking pretty sad (still green though). I really hate to throw them out but was wondering if they would survive if I planted them outside in Zone9B? Is it too hot? If so, should I cut them back and would they regrow in the container?

I bought 2 shamrock or clover plants at the grocery store. And like most grocery store plants, they have no tags to indentify the type of clover or how to care for it. It has only 3 leaves per shamrock and it has white flowers. Can anyone tell me what sort clover this is and what sort of light conditions this plant prefers and does it like alot of water or not so much. Thanks!

i need to cover up a small muddy lawn. Do I cover it with paving slabs similar to those laid elsewhere in the garden, or decking? I only need to cover a 3m2 area. What do you think would look best?

The soil is washing out and I would like to plant something that looks nice and would also help keep the area from washing out. I live in zone 7.

Can i use another product in addition to the preemergence? I know most preemergence will halt crabgrass already growing but we appear to have several types of weeds trying to take over. The weeds started in the last 10 days. Temps are 70's during the day, 40's at night.

Without having to intrude on my neighbors yard?

I am planting a 50 foot Canadian Hemlock hedge down the side of my driveway and neighbor's yard on the others side. I would like to have as much property as possible before the hedge , but was thinking that I should have a few feet on the other side of it to trim it without stepping on my neighbors yard. I know this may seem silly , but I know that I would have a funny feeling about my next door neighbor stepping in my front yard to trim the other side of his hedge, but would not say anything about it.
What do you think?
I just hate that I will have to also mow the grass a few feet on the other side as well.

I wanted to use 3 giant alliums per bouquet, but worry that the girls will not be happy about carrying things that smell like onions. I really don't want to use silk alliums. What other flowers have that round puffball shape that I can use instead?

I planted tulip bulbs last year--and though many sprouted green leaves, I only had two actual flowers. Life got in the way, and they ended up being in the ground all year. Now that I'm ready to plant spring flowers--are my bulbs any good, or have they died? I don't want to dig up the soil if they are still viable, but don't want to wait months without flowers to have nothing sprout. I'm in Arizona, btw...
