For me it was two years for berries, and the third year they were decent sized. Too big is bad, and they taste better off the plant than in the store, for sure! The key, DON'T move the plants! They like sandy soil, and grow like weeds, sending off shoots. Nip those with your fingers for bigger fruit. Good luck!...
Oh, you will get more but smaller, if you let the shoots go... use your judgment. You can plant the shoots...

It will take up to two years before they have fruit and maybe another year until they have fruit that is larger. Patience is the key, oh and water and sun and fertilizer will help!
