you might try the old fashion way of hanging up noise makers,such as two pie pans together thatway when the wing blows it will scare them off!or if you dont want you deck looking bad you can hang some wind chimes up to scare them off =when the wind blows they will make noise. you could also try putting a bird feeder a little ways off in your your yard that way they would be attracted to it instead of you deck!or you might try leaving a radio on out on you deck,maybe they will think its people talking and fly away.good luck!

wind chimes are a nice way to deter the birds and alot more decorative ........good luck
